Story Summary
Immersed in an era full of war is an unlikely romance between a young woman and a young field marshal. Lin Hangjing has always considered Xiao Beichen to be a ruthless man who wants her even though she has found her first love. What followed was a passionate and heartbreaking romance.
In the Age of Warlords, the gifted and talented young lady Lin Hangjing (Chen Duling) must go on the run after her father is wrongfully imprisoned. She takes refuge from her father's good friend, General Xiao, and lives modestly and doesn't complain as she relies on their charity.
The overbearing young master Xiao Beichen (Shawn Dou) of the Xiao family, who begins to bully Lin Hangjing excessively, has a change of heart as he is gradually drawn to her quiet confidence. General Shuai sends his son to military school for training. Aunt Seven promises to arrange a match between Xiao Beichen and Lin Hangjing after he returns.
After 5 years of harsh training under the strict instruction of military officers, Xiao Beichen is no longer a management boy like before but a hardworking soldier who has experienced the harsh reality of war. .
